“PEACE POEMS” BY DR. VIJAYA NAYAK OFTEN VOICES ON BEHALF OF THOSE WHOSE VOICE COULDN’T REACH THE SOCIETY.
My good neighbour, I don't even know your name! however, in view of the air we share, ground we tread, as did our forefathers and our fledglings to come, who would so proudly toddle before they walk of course, in view of the much aspired purity of water, then as now.. and years to come, it looks and sounds the same! Sounds the same, did I say?! Yes, indeed, like the music from the willows in the wood, like the overture from a time withstood bamboo bush, like the rhythmical lullaby that hushes a tired costal village to a restorative sleep, or, like the roaring tides from an ocean afar encouraging to be fit and well, yes, my dear it all sounds the same, what is more, it sounds lilting, easy to spell, even by your young niece Ethel, no, it is not razzmatazz, so much as P E A C E! you rejoice the simple and pure waves of peace, at home, as your tour, for a conference as you prepare or even as you absorb in your computer or a calculator for that matter, or simply as you set asail, or simply amble along with the swans, who like you, are so ‘locals' to the lake as you are to the land, rejoice peace, even from the top of a ‘met-tower', from an office, a lab, a or a ministerial chamber! usher in peace.. Do you know, while being teased by the sun beams in mid morning or challenged by an unexpected down pour, Why! even through the blizzards sent by The Creator one can feel the peace smile! Yet, alas! it is the experience of the world and not just mine, that the man made hazards and disasters and the deafeningly horrifying waves of a bomb blast which so ruthlessly attempt to rip open the belly of Mother Earth, asphyxiates peace, albeit temporarily, yes, I insist, temporarily in comparison to the worship worthy magnanimity of our Mother Earth, so please, let me, humbly plea, with peace, let us detox if we have to, each time as we worship, because Mother Earth who is simply ‘Nature' for many, is much more powerful than a bomber's cognition, patient She may be, but one warning from Mother Earth, however forgiving She is, will take the toll, sadly of the kith and kin of the mindless destroyer, to remind as it were, of their limited vision and their ‘ even much more limited' care and compassion. So, friends, uphold PEACE as Power, and not just as yet another process of giving up, Let us do it with faith and vigour, that would be the true worship of Nature, our saviour! show Her we care, preserve what is the fare share of coming generation alike that of Iain, Ali, Narender, Sheelaugh or Selva Rajan. Promote peace as the pathway for success.. Yes, know this doctrine which I have learnt, it is ancient, peace TAKES ROOT with love, care and compassion, over indulgence, greed and vengeance can poison the best of your intention. Let us together NURTURE peace, thank Mother Earth, for, She lets us know the secret codings of saplings that flourish, here friends, the saplings of smile, that of peace and success, have faith. Prosperity, like the most adored ,ancient and rich pomegranate will soon open up, yes, revealing the bounty of prosperity for all and not just for a few, such is the opulence of peace as power! Not just that, my friends, PEACE as POWER will yield, pure water, new rivers, pure air, fertile, unscarred Earth, protected from Injury and insults will joyfully bring back the colour to the corals in the Ocean bed, honey will never go bitter again, the sky will remain enchantingly blue, what can I say, the messenger pigeons will return once again, quickly catching the clue! All this and more, makes one thing certain, Just as the much needed vitality, the strength of the mind and the astute sense of equality, Peace as power, as a well nurtured faculty of the highest quality, has to remain ingrained as an indelible secret coding of preservation.. of our planet with pious serenity, along with with HER people, parakeets, pachyderm, panther, plants, prosperity, not to mention the unparalleled panorama, for, all belongs to Her, we are only the guests here.. it is only that with the unique ray of wisdom that proclaims Peace as Power, we can see it all better! So, friends, It is only one Planet and one Christmas, It is only one Planet and one Diwali Diwas, One planet and one Bar Mitzvah and one Eid, Let us celebrate together, Adam, Aditi, Abel and Wahid!
Thank you Lord for making me Truly and totally altruistic, For keeping within me the soft strength Which is ever so mystique.. Rocks crumble, mountains tumble, the flexible stalk however sustains it all, rather well, even in storms and tempests, nourishing as it embellishes the floral glory petal by petal holding them together, when the time is right, yes, only in the minds of enlightened as the wisdom and purity to shine, knowing that the final place of each lotus thus nourished is in the Lake of Kindness, in the heart of the LORD How will you hunt with out being TAUGHT? whom we address as supreme DIVINE.. did you hear the petals tremulously whispering,' thanks again, amen'

God created Malta, Middle East, Israel and Greece Along with India, England, Canada and the land of Bruce He created in nature the aroma, colours and breeze But nothing is more appealing to mankind Than the true feeling of Love Hope and Peace Make it happen, the Omniscient and the very Haven of solace Make it happen everywhere and for everyone with your sheer GRACE! - Dr. Vijaya Nayak 3 Aug 2015
Just born, not reborn Never ever also to be forlorn Let the 'gifts' within me refined as they are, Get redefined and shine upon the deserving Make them aware as to how truly worthy they are, Amen! Despite relentless and arduous path they have trodden Just by not forgetting through sorrow or dejection To keep that all vital pilot light within their soul glowing! Lord, they are making their way towards you Just the way I have done.. I now feel what it is to bathe constantly, as do the gills of Pisces On the warm and endless stream of your blessings.. In the yonder years I only knew what it is to go 'without' How I felt others for no reason explained, did shout Let it be unending, yes, my renderings, even after With your permission, I rest meself in the NICHE of A thrice blessed LOTUS held by you! I am just happy that you blessed my mission of life, Just the way you preserved me and gave me my very first breath in this planet, yes, that is when we first met! After that I should have had no requests, just should have sufficed that we met, but, lessons had to be learnt, at times, at the cost of fingers being burnt, but, you were there, albeit unbeknown to me, sprayed the comfort, saw that I was not hurt as I grew up and learn to evolve myself I could actually see YOU trough the healing lint Soaked in a soothing balm as it might appear, Nevertheless with the quickness of meteoric merit ! I now ask you bestow on me please, similar gift So that I can, with your thoughts alone as a tool, Detect the pain without a broken bone or a cut in the vein Without words, without a gesture or even a sign.. And envigourate them to see YOU, as you know , That truly is my vision, passion and mission.. Lord just this once, make them perceive your grace, Let the seekers feel the joy of being 'born again' Into the radiance of strength from within, Generated through serenity, peace and solace That would simply be enough in essence, Would it not, to make this world a better place? - Dr. Vijaya Nayak 2 August 2015
Shri Mohan Chand Sharma, Let there be a robust and a well cared for, coconut orchard Where you shed the blood, Where, with your head still held high you were laid, so that all the future seekers would look upon you and be INSPIRED, yet, all those cowards and the enemies of our land who hang their heads low be afraid, I mean really afraid beneath the orchard be spread, like the carpet, the finest vines of jasmine, hand reared tenderly to perfection, so that during the cool hours of every evening the perfume of peoples' memory of you, in my view, should be reaching you in partnership with the breeze, the very symbol of life and liberty, to ETERNITY.. Well done, Mr. Mohan Chand Sharma, Whatever the profession out of you, did demand or command, You gave it all, your dedication, your professional skills, Your energy, your blood and your breath, yes, even your life, You gave it all fighting for the cause with VALOUR till the very end! Let us together, your deeds cordially commend, Still, now that you are in Heaven, on behalf of all of us and yourself please ask this question, ask the Maker, for, He is the one with one name and many a ‘uroof' "why is the world of duty, purity, dignity and honesty is not bullet proof?" - Dr. Vijaya Nayak by- Founder /Director of Manasumanasuma
From within the veil of fenestration, frustration, fragmentation and frailty emerged the reality with its increasing strength, like the rising sun.. with million a beacon of hope, peace and progress that in turn refracts many an aspiration, many a choice all in one voice for the world to see, hear and with you to rejoice! Yes, like many a beacon from rising sun Without indeed a great deal of ear grating, heart rending and spiritually Impoverishing explosions from the blazing gun!! My commendations to you, all patriots of Egypt, Men and women, young and old.. For, the love for one's country is no less than the treasure in gold. Let your pathways to peace and progress, like the AURORA, like the 'VIBGYOR', like the unending blessings from the Godess of Luxor continue to unfurl the meaningful spectrum of love.. by that I mean, the love for the land, love for the fellow human being, love for the wisdom that is passed on and the ongoing education, love for art and beauty that portrays the creator and His creation, love for nature and love for the PEACE as strength and not just a giving up process, finally the love towards theTRUE MAKER and MAINTAINER from above, believe you me, the wealth will flow in soon, like the Nile in monsoon! My commendations once again, for the people of Egypt, Remain blessed always, let all the grievances and injustices, be it of Social or religious by origin be 'hoovered ' away Just the way you have 'hoovered' Tahrir Square following the up rise, all fair and square!! - Dr. Vijaya Nayak Presented, with all the good wishes for Egypt and people of Egypt, to Egyptian Embassy in London on 14th Feb. 2011
(Kaka means uncle but in the true sense a middle man/labourer) The frayed end of the sleek cane Shuddered the floor as Kaka, thundered 'Wake up'! with the film of sleep still oscillating in his limpid eyes.. Rabin serambled on to his feet for, his swollen knees and 'old' dislocated shoulders read out the verdict 'it wouldn't be the floor second time'… for, he was a Majdoor why should the cane strike the floor afterall, he was a Majdoor … Rabin hobbled hundreds yards behind Kaka it was still dark but he was not to be afraid Raju, his brother, once had said.. where did he go?! the seven year old wondered bewildered tender mind pondered … little did he know about foot ball or fashion, little did he know about the hand stitched products or the union All he understood for sure was that he could, with Raju buy a sari for his mother and a little something to sister TUSHAR …yes Tushar – she was only four Kaka reminded that he had to work in place of Raju the whole day but he knew at seven he gets only half a day's pay— .. .. Rabin braised himself as he entered the poorly lit ill ventilated shed with its work pit – he is not be afraid – tired or even bored .. ..Raju braised himself as he entered the poorly lit ill ventilated shed with its work pit – he is not to be afraid – tired or even bored Raju had said – he didn't want to see the scars on his brother ..Rabin hardly knew the difference between the Tan and the Leather just the way he didn't know the difference between the festivity and hunger Kaka piled up a heap of mansize heels Needles and the reel Somehow the seven year old felt suddenly alone and vulnerable .. Rabin held a size'10' sole against the caved in pit of his stomach he used as an anvil There was no one with him to feel no one to appeal .. .. Sweat poured down his slender body – he missed a stitch with out a thimble .. and it was one of the several Still .. he was thinking if only someone taught him how to count, how to cope his life was one hope against the hope It was seven O'clock in twelve hours he hardly had a break Kaka took him back it was just as he splashed the cold water on his face he thought of his brother again.. .. it was meal time he remembered – while eating Raju had said 'Tuze Mazduri nahi karne Dega' on that day Raju ate very little for, there was no food left for Rabin and Raju, giving his food had asked him to hold up his chin…. Where did he go? suddenly the child lost the appetite There was a sense of fear he wished Raju was there.. As he spread the thread bare mat still lost in his thought he heard the people shout he looked out hanging from a window the mob was walking towards Kaka's house Carrying someone wrapped in white … it was nearing midnight 'Kaka' they shouted lowering the body of a tender boy Rabin sprinted out totally confused Raju – what happened to Raju Why were they carrying him? The mob told Kaka that he was in the Protest march against the child labour he had faught until he fell and was stampeded Rabin's big brother had succumbed blood pouring from his ear … he was one of the many for that year The child felt sick sensing the inevitable and the worst he lowered himself close to his brother watching the trickle of blood … There was no time for fear 'He has gone' Kaka gruntled 'You have to get up early'! Rabin curled against his brother holding him in his tender arms .. he showed him his swollen hands .. there was love and only love.. "no more fear" Raju laid there motionless his spirits burning high for RABIN and for other children like RABIN from ASIA,BRAZIL and SPAIN….. Rabin had dropped off in fatigue, sadness and pain .. .. did Raju say .. .. mother's sari must be green mother loves green! Next day he woke up without Kaka's frayed sleek cane There was no tears – no time to feel the pain .. un be known to him at the dawn Rabin's journey has just begun!! (Join me one and all let us see that he, with fatigue doesn't swoon let him not go without education join me, let us be holding the dream the way Raju did for Rabin until they are at least Nineteen) Dr Vijaya Nayak 2000

Be blessed baby 'B', now that you have finished the curse of living.. Be blessed baby 'B' As the angels sing for you a lull-a-'B' We could not kiss you better, With a soothing balm we could not say ' there, there and there', but for the children of the future let us be ware that behind your golden curls were the concussions some new and some old, buried in the azure of your iris and behind your lush lashes was the pain you suffered through many a harsh and heartless bashes. Baby 'B', what can I say?? At least in your sin free, terror and torture free tranquil sleep I hope, you have awakened the world To the TRUTH that that children are There to love and tenderly to hold.. The very minute you receive my poem Which I have written specially for you Wouldn't you send a peaceful fantailed white dove So that we know you are with the Maker And you are smiling at last from above! - Dr. Vijaya Nayak
'Young Tough' once my mum lovingly said, as she fed me in heather bed, in gorgeous sun shine and beauty indeed with the thoughts on nature and her purity Here I am now in pastures anew, Hope I have brought with me All the wisdom she knew, Love, truth, honour and fortitude Yes, I remember with gratitude Were her teachings with such tenderness only a mother can view and review along with an undivided faith and trust in the Maker above - Dr. Vijaya Nayak
Hark! Did you hear that?! I am reeling with pain, The humans again, they are killing us in vain; I see on the ice an expanding patch of crimson Numb seems the pain..I have to some how reach You Zara and you Zac my baby son! The bullet this time has lodged in my fore head It was no accident, they wanted me dead.. You are so young, and tender, still keeps your eyes Closed while suckling and being fed I am yet to teach you how to hunt How to be vigilant and how to be independent My soft pawed one, I am yet to teach you about the talon And how to use it as a weapon.. Even as I stagger I can tell you They spend an awful lot on education, still kill in vain?? How will you hunt with out being TAUGHT? How will you live without being CAUGHT?! Many an arrows and bullets in the past I did escape But today.. Forgive me..you are my treasure, you are my hope Zara and Zac, how will you cope? In the harsh winter And later in the monsoon with out Mum imprinting on you, your very own MIND'S MAP Babes, how will you cope? There isn't much time left now,Gaffer Still I wonder, why did they do it? Whatever for? Zara, look after your fur, my beautiful, Look after Zac,he is still very young and playful.. But always remember, and tell him too, that you are a SIBEREAN TIGER And like mum, you have earned the magnificent stripes with HONOUR. - Dr. Vijaya Nayak
